Initial Meeting

Treatment Plan

After discussing your condition and factoring your activity level/expectations, Dr. Ndou will discuss treatment options and will be happy to answer any questions to ensure an informed decision is made by the patient.

Typically, surgical preparation involves obtaining insurance authorization, pre-op laboratory studies, and setting up necessary services such as physical therapy.

Surgery Prep

Procedure

Patients will be admitted the day before surgery to the hospital and may stay several days depending on the complexity of the procedure and patient condition.

Post-operative physical therapy is essential to achieve a good outcome and is usually done at an outpatient facility close to home.

Post-Op Care

Follow Up Care

Patients are usually seen two-weeks after surgery in the office to ensure appropriate healing of the surgical incision and again at six weeks with new x-rays to ensure patients are progressing appropriately. Additional follow-up may be necessary at several months after surgery depending on the complexity of the procedure.
